  1. We were on the Allure a few years ago. In January 2019 we were on the Symphony of the Seas. Everything you say is true. We did have a very smooth ride and it is true that you feel like you are at a luxury hotel.

  2. Thanks for the good advice Don

  4. Thanks so much for the heads up on the motion of the ship. I've been on the smaller ships & it never really bothered me. But I am going on NCL Encore, staying in the studio 10th fl & I was concerned with how high up the cabin is & the motion. Yikes….

  5. LOVE THE BIG SHIPS Is the way to go

  6. I always appreciate your positivity, Don! I'm glad to not see the thumbs down on this one (yet) – crazy how there's always that one…no matter how wonderful your presentation is!

  7. Sailed of the Harmony if the Seas June 16-23…one of the best vacations of my life. Never felt crowded, the entertainment and shows were all great. Boardwalk balcony was awesome, Cruise Director and staff were great. My teenagers had a great time. I agree with all your points. I feel we set the bar so high with the Harmony cruise that cruising on any other ship will never be as good…thanks for all you videos.

  8. Thank you!! We're going on Independence of the Seas in September. I was somewhat concerned about finding enough to do on sea days and the couple of times we were not that interested on what shore excursions offered. Now I can re-think possibly staying on the ship to explore and relax.

  9. Great video but big ships not for me. I'm at sea why would I want to walk for 10 minutes or more and still not get a glance of the sea. No, no, no.

  10. Which Royal Caribbean ship has bumper cars? These look pretty cool.

  11. I love the large ships too. It will be hard for me to go back to the small ones after sailing some of those. I call them floating cities. I met a couple once that said they were doing that. Staying on the ship because they'd done all the islands already. I thought that was interesting as an introvert to almost have the whole ship to yourself for hours. As an introvert this sounds ironic but I prefer the large ships because you probably won't bump into the same people twice and it's easy to get lost in the crowd and not be noticed. On a small ship, this happened to me, if you end up not liking someone you don't like very hard to avoid them. I love exploring the ship even if it's going through cabin hallways. I found a "secret" computer room once few people were using this way. BTW, off topic. Wanted to suggest if your program has a feature called "Constrained proportions" for your photo inserts. This way your pics won't look squished or stretched. Or sometimes called "Maintain aspect ratio"

  12. Ha ha, Don……When you said "Imagine sharing New Year's Eve with 6,000 party goers" I literally just cringed!! Those biggie ships are just not for me, but great video just the same! 🙂

  13. I can't wait for my cruise!!! Nice big ship… I can think of one more thing but I dont want to make people mad. Don I am sure being single you can think what is it lol

  14. Have only sailed on RCCL Radiance Class ships, which were all quite nice. The Oasis Class ships certainly do look like a lot of fun! On NCL, the largest ship I've sailed on has been the Epic, but have the Getaway, the the Bliss, the Bliss, the Star, the Breakaway and the Bliss lined up for my next six cruises. Would love to try an RCCL Oasis ship but haven't been able to find the time to actually book that line. Even though I've been fortunate enough to have taken 26 cruises thus far, and have seen and experienced many different, exciting and fun things on my many cruises, I ALWAYS enjoy finding out things in your videos that are both informative and entertaining. Your videos are a find representation of your personality. Thank You for taking the time and making the efforts to research, edit, and produce these excellent YouTube videos.  “The good seaman weathers the storm he cannot avoid, and avoids the storm he cannot weather.” Continued good health and safe travels.

  15. Large ships, spread out the crowds…

  16. Only 51 more days till my first cruise on the Bliss! We’re going with 8 other couples. Their all saying I’m more prepared than anyone, even the regular cruisers. It’s because I watch all your videos!! Thanks again ❤️

  17. Thanks Don always a great show

  18. Wow, you are very persuasive! Going to have to show this to my husband 🙂

  19. I was on Oasis of the Seas in Sept 2016. Had a balcony facing Central Park. It was wonderful! Oh those luxury shops! Thanks for your videos, I enjoy them immensely – very informative! I have Alaska booked on the Ruby Princess for May 2019. Can’t wait!

  20. Long time watcher!! Love your videos. I have never been on a cruise but have been wondering how passport customs work on the excursions! Id love to see a video on those logistics 🙂 thanks Don!!

  21. I suppose those ships that hold between 4 and 6 thousand people would be midsized, I was on the Disney dream 2 years ago and am taking it again in about 6 weeks. So can it be said that they hold the best of Both worlds?….;-)

  22. Our first cruise was on Allure of the Seas in March for our honeymoon, and we absolutely loved it! The ship never felt crowded with the large number of guests to us, as most people were very spread out. I do think there was too much to do, but not in a bad way! We were perfectly content sitting by the pool or in a hot tub during our cruise and didn't need all the bells and whistles the Oasis class ships have.

I personally would love to go back on a large ship again in the future, whether on Royal Caribbean or not. From the outside looking in, I love what some of the larger ships from NCL and ships like the Carnival Vista or Horizon have to offer. With that said, I am also looking forward to our cruises coming up on (relatively, in one case) smaller ships like the Mariner and Serenade of the Seas.

  23. Hey don! I love your videos!!!! I was a little bored on Norwegian Pearl last year because there’s not much for teenagers to do. I think I want to try the Perfect day cruise on Symphony of the seas. Can I book through you?

  24. Large ships are definitely not for us, but I can see why people love them. Each to his own, right?

  25. LOL toooo much. Hope I’m a fan after my first trip on the Symphony in December!

  26. You've done the top 10 things about the small and large ships now… are we going to see some love for the medium-sized ships?

  27. Hi Don
What free things are there on the ships?
And what about free food, I dont hear much about it.

  28. Is it ok that I whistle your theme song as it plays LOL

  29. I have a cruise on Anthem of the Seas coming up next May. I'm a little nervous because I've never cruised on a large ship before. Thanks for the tips.

  30. looks super fun !!!
